As announced, the smartphone from the new Motorola P series made its debut in China. The Motorola P30 model can be criticized for being similar to the iPhone, but its equipment does not give reason to complain.

The peculiarity of the new model (apart from the appearance differing from the style that we associate with Motorola) is that it received the interface ZUI 4.0, known so far from smartphones ZUK and Lenovo. This is a clear sign that Motorola is still strongly associated with the parent company, and attempts to "cut off" this brand from Lenovo do not affect the Chinese market.

The ZUI interface works on the basis of Android 8.0, and the heart of the phone is an 8-core Snapdragon processor with 1.8 GHz clock speed, supported by 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory that can be expanded with a 256 GB microSD card. The 6.2-inch screen with a resolution of 2246x1080 pixels was made in IPS technology and the power supply was entrusted to a 3000 mAh battery.

The front camera has 12 megapixels and f/2.0 lens, while the rear camera is dual, has 16 and 5 Mpx matrixes and f/1.8 and f/2.2 lenses. The smartphone has LTE modules, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual band Wi-Fi, but we can’t see NFC information, at least in today's variant. If Motorola decides to make a wider distribution, NFC should appear, just like the missing "European" LTE ranges. Unfortunately, the Dual SIM will be supported in a hybrid slot, alternating with microSD.

There are three colour versions to choose from, and prices in China are (depending on the 64/128 GB memory) 1999 and 2099 yuan, which gives 289 and 303 USD.
