Launch of the Vivo S18 triplets

Vivo today presented three new smartphones in China: Vivo S18, Vivo S18 Pro and Vivo S18e. What do they offer?

Vivo S18

We start the review of the models of the new family with the basic Vivo S18. It is a smartphone equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor with a dedicated cooling system and supported by LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 or LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memories in the top 16+512 GB version. The smartphone has an OLED display with a resolution of 2800x1260 pixels, a diagonal of 6.78 inches and a brightness of up to 2800 nits. The screen refreshes the image at a frequency of 120 Hz, and the touch - at 300 Hz. The display also has 2160 Hz PWM dimming and a 10-bit color palette. the smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 80-watt charging, and the inside of the housing is protected against moisture at the IP54 level. In the photographic part, you will find a 50-megapixel selfie camera, as well as a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, complemented by an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a multi-colored LED. The following variants are available:

Vivo S18 Pro

The more powerful model, Vivo S18 Pro, received a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor and LPDDR5X and UFS 3.1 memories. The display is the same as the basic version, as well as the battery and selfie camera. The rear camera, however, is more interesting, although still based on the main 50-megapixel module with an optically stabilized 1/1.55-size matrix. The wide-angle camera is also 50-megapixel, and the set also includes a 12-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens with a 2x portrait zoom.

Vivo S18e

Vivo S18e is the cheapest model of the new series, i.e. the Lite version. It has a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor, LPDDR4X and UFS 2.2 memories and a 4800 mAh battery, but still with 80-watt charging. The display is still an OLED matrix with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, but with Full HD+ resolution, brightness up to 1,800 nits and 120 Hz refreshment. The selfie camera has 16 megapixels, while on the back there is a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/2-inch matrix and optical image stabilization. Like the other new products, this model is IP54 certified and runs on Android 14 with the OriginOS 4 interface. There are only two versions to choose from:

  • 12+256GB - RMB 2,099, USD 295
  • 12+512GB - RMB 2,299, USD 323
