Honor Magic V3 and Honor Magic Vs3 debut as Galaxy Z Fold6 competitors.

Samsung has barely presented Galaxy Z Fold6 when it already has dangerous competition. Only in China for now, but who knows...? Meet Honor Magic V3 and Honor Magic Vs3!

Honor Magic V3

Compared to its competitors, Honor Magic V3 is certainly distinguished by its slimness: when folded, depending on the finish of the back of the case, it is 9.2 or 9 3 mm, and when unfolded - 4.35 or 4.4 mm and weighs 226-230 g, so it is also light. Its hinge is supposed to withstand half a million folding cycles, as is the flexible OLED screen with a diagonal of 7.92 inches, a resolution of 2344x2156 pixels and a refresh rate in the range of 1-120 Hz. The screen has 3840 Hz PWM dimming and a King Kong protective coating. Speaking of screens, the external one measures 6.43 inches, has a resolution of 2376x1060 pixels, brightness up to 5000 nits, PWM dimming 4320 Hz and, of course, refreshment 1-120 Hz. It is protected by Honor King Kong Giant Rhino Glass. Both screens work with an optional stylus. The heart of the smartphone is, of course, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, along with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memories and additional proprietary communication and security systems. In the photography section, we have two 20-megapixel selfie cameras on each screen, as well as a triple rear camera. The main module has 50 megapixels, optical stabilization and a 1/1.56" matrix, the telephoto module also has 50 megapixels, but a 1/2.51" matrix with 3.5x approximation and digital zoom up to 100x, while the wide-angle one is 40-megapixel. There is also a ToF sensor. The battery has a capacity of 5150 mAh, 66 W wired charging and 50-watt induction. There are four colours to choose from, and the housing is IPX8 protected. The smartphone is offered in memory variants of 12+256 GB, 16+512 GB and 16 GB + 1 TB, for 9, 10 and 11 thousand yuan respectively, i.e. 1240, 1380 and 1515 dollars.

Honor Magic Vs3 is of course a cheaper model, with a slightly different styling, but also quite interesting. This, in turn, received the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memory and - invariably - the company's communication and security systems. It has a 6.43-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2376x1060 px and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz on the outer side and an internal screen of 7.92 inches, with a resolution of 2344x2156 px and a constant refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and Honor King Kong glass. The hinge is again guaranteed for 500,000 cycles, and the battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and - again - 66+50 W charging. The selfie cameras have 16 megapixels, the main camera has 50 Mpx and OIS, while the wide-angle camera remains 40-megapixel. Unfortunately, the tele camera only has 8 megapixels, but it has a 5x lossless zoom and a 50x digital zoom. The unfolded smartphone - again depending on the back finish - is 4.65-4.8 mm thick, while the folded one is 9.8-10.1 mm thick. The weight of the phone is 229-2231 g, and there are three housing colours to choose from. There are still 12+256 GB, 16+512 GB and 16 GB+1 TB memories to choose from, and the prices are 7, 7.7 and 8.7 thousand yuan respectively, i.e. 966, 1062 and 1200 USD.
