The inexpensive Oppo A5 Pro 5G smartphone has just debuted in India, with a name and appearance identical to Oppo A5 Pro 5G in Thailand, but slightly better parameters.
People like Apple's style and low prices - this is confirmed by both the success of the iPhone 16a and the multitude of Android smartphones imitating the iPhone Pro style. The latter also includes the Oppo A5 Pro 5G, and like most smartphones in this price range, it has only two cameras on the back island, replacing the third with a round LED for photos and notifications. The camera set is typical for a budget phone - a 50 Mpx main camera and a 2 Mpx secondary camera on the back, 8 Mpx for selfies in a hole on the back.
The Oppo A5 Pro 5G screen is decidedly modest, a 6.67-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. However, the Mediatek Dimensity 8300 processor, designed for efficient mid-range smartphones, stands out above average, and is accompanied by 8 GB RAM, 128 or 256 GB of internal memory and the Android 15 operating system with the ColorOS 15 interface. The capacious 5800 mAh battery charged at 45 W also looks good, not increasing the smartphone's dimensions too much - its thickness is 7.76 mm. The Oppo A5 Pro 5G also features a fingerprint scanner on the side edge and a high level of waterproofing, confirmed by IP66, IP68, and IP69 certificates.
The Oppo A5 Pro 5G has gone on sale in Indian stores in Feather Blue and Mocha Brown color options, as well as two memory options. The 8/128GB variant is priced at 17,999 rupees (around $211, €185), while the 8/256GB variant is priced at 19,999 rupees ($235, €205)
