The Sharp brand has just revealed the details of two new smartphones - the modest Sharp Aquos Wish 5 and the mid-range Sharp Aquos R10.
The Sharp Aquos Wish 5 is a budget smartphone, but it manages to stand out - if only because it is not ashamed of its single rear camera and does not pretend to be more. Its main camera is single, but good, with a resolution of 50.1 Mpx, and it is accompanied by an 8 Mpx front camera in a hole. Renders attached to the press release show a round island for the rear camera and flash, a flat display with thick bezels and five color variants. The Sharp Aquos Wish 5 screen is a 6.6-inch IPS with HD+ resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate.
The heart of the Aquos Wish 5 is the Mediatek Dimensity 6300 processor, accompanied by 4 GB RAM, 64 or 128 GB of UFS 2.1 internal memory and the Android 15 operating system. The smartphone's tightness and durability are confirmed by IP68, IP69 and MIL-STD-810H certificates, and the 5000 mAh battery can be charged at 27 W.

The Sharp Aquos R10 has a similar style, but its parameters are definitely better. Its 6.5-inch screen is a Pro IGZO OLED, with FHD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate of up to 240 Hz, as well as high brightness of 3000 nits. Its processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, with 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 internal memory. Its 5000 mAh battery allows for charging at 36 W, and the camera set once again puts quality over quantity - there is a main and ultra-wide-angle camera on the back, a selfie camera on the front, all three with a resolution of 50.3 Mpx, manufactured in cooperation with Leica.
The prices of the new smartphones have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that the Aquos Wish 5 will hit stores at the end of June, and the Aquos R10 at the beginning of July. Both models will be available for purchase in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Indonesia - there is no indication of wider availability at the moment.
