The 2026 version of Lenovo Legion Y70 gaming smartphone has finally seen the light of day. What does it offer to entice mobile gamers?
For a gaming smartphone, the Lenovo Legion Y70 (2026) has a rather subdued design. There are no flashy elements – just a large logo, applied to a black or silver, flat, matte back panel. The sides and display are also flat. There's more lurking inside – but there are surprises here too. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor – not an Elite by any means. Additionally, there's fast LPDDR5x and UFS 4.1 memory, and a 5500 mm² vapor chamber capable of reducing internal temperatures by 7 degrees Celsius. The screen is quite ordinary—but bright, reaching up to 7000 nits and featuring Dolby Vision. It's, of course, a 6.82-inch OLED panel, with a resolution and refresh rate of up to 144 Hz.

Photography-wise, it's quite average. Selfies are taken by a 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.2 aperture, while the rear features a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.56 sensor, optical image stabilization, and an f/1.8 aperture, as well as an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, a 118.6-degree field of view, and a macro function. The 8000 mAh battery with 90-watt charging and a guaranteed lifespan of 1200 charge cycles or 7 years is more appealing. The casing is IP66/IP68/IP69 rated. Colors are called Ice Soul White and Carbon Black, and memory kits are available:
