Soon we will meet Oppo Reno16 and Oppo Reno16 Pro, and in the meantime, cheaper models from the new family have debuted without much fanfare - Oppo Reno16 F and Reno16 FS. The set includes the new Oppo Enco Air5 and Enco Air5s headphones.
According to information available on the website of Oppo's German branch, the Oppo Reno16 F and Reno16 FS differ only in memory capacity, aside from the name. This is a somewhat confusing move, but perhaps we'll see more differences between these models in other regions. In Europe, it's only the memory, with the Oppo Reno16 F having 256 GB, and the Reno16 FS having 512 GB. The remaining specifications, as well as the appearance of the models, are identical.

The Oppo Reno16 F and Reno16 FS feature 6.57-inch AMOLED screens with Full HD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color, and up to 1400 nits of brightness. The smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy processor, supported by LPDDR4x (8 GB) and UFS 3.1 memory, and run Android 16 with the ColorOS 16 interface. Power is provided by 7000 mAh batteries with 45-watt charging. The smartphones feature 50-megapixel selfie cameras with a wide, 100-degree field of view (f/2.0), as well as 50-megapixel main cameras with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture. OIS is also found in the 50-megapixel telephoto cameras with a 3.5x zoom (f/2.8), and the camera setup is complemented by 8-megapixel wide-angle cameras (f/2.2, 116 degrees). Following the smartphones are new headphones, the Oppo Enco Air5 and Oppo Enco Air5s. The former are classic, in-ear, sealed TWS earphones with silicone tips, while the latter are "hard-shell" headphones with a more open design. The Oppo Enco Air5s feature 12mm drivers and a 20Hz-20kHz frequency response, as well as Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity with low latency. The active noise cancellation system has an efficiency of 52 dB, and power is supplied by a 530 mAh battery in the case. The headphones are IP55-rated. The Oppo Enco Air5s have a different design, but the same drivers and batteries, 40.5 mAh per earpiece. This model uses Bluetooth 6.0, but with an improved ANC system designed to reduce more ambient noise due to the less airtight design of the headphones. Both models cost around €100.
