Will the compact variant of LG G3 be called Beat? It's possible - because LG G3 Beat is just debuting in China. Unfortunately, we do not know if and when it appears in other countries.
In a matter of fact, we cannot even confidently confirm that LG G3 Beat is actually G3 Mini. Everything points so, but the fact that the phone is offered under the name LG-D729, clearly suggesting the country of destination tells us to approach this theory with caution.

LG G3 Beat has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, supported by 2 GB of RAM. The equipment also includes 16 GB of a built-in memory, an 8-megapixel camera with an AF laser and a 2300 mAh battery. Unfortunately, as I mentioned at the outset, we do not know whether the version for Europe will be similar to the presented today.
