In addition to new tablets and flagship smartphones, Xiaomi has also introduced a new watch—the Xiaomi Watch S5.
The Xiaomi Watch S5 features a steel case and a ceramic bezel, available in three standard colors. However, the manufacturer has also added a special red version with a semi-transparent casing, echoing a similar variant of the new Xiaomi flagship smartphones. This version boasts a glass (!) case made of Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0 and a red strap. Only 5,000 units will be produced, priced at 2,499 yuan (approximately $375 or 1,445 PLN). The precision-crafted glass is reportedly highly durable, meeting the 810 HV0.05 standard. Even so, it is unlikely to be a watch for everyday use, unlike the standard versions...

Regardless of the variant, the Xiaomi Watch S5 features a round AMOLED display with a 1.48-inch diameter, a resolution of 480x480 pixels, and brightness reaching 1,500 nits (typical) and up to 2,500 nits (peak). The casing is rated 5 ATM for water resistance. The device is 9.9 mm thick, weighs 36 g, and houses an 815 mAh battery that provides up to 9 days of operation in Always-On Display mode or up to 21 days in power-saving mode. The watch includes a pulse oximeter and three wrist temperature sensors which, according to the manufacturer, operate with an accuracy of ±0.1°C; these are primarily used for tracking menstrual cycles and predicting ovulation. The watch also offers dual-band UVA and UVB monitoring to measure ultraviolet radiation intensity, as well as over 150 workout modes—including a dedicated skiing mode that tracks distance, altitude, and maximum slope gradient. Furthermore, the watch detects falls while skiing and can automatically trigger an alarm or call emergency services if the user does not respond. The Xiaomi Watch S5 features a dual-band GNSS chip for precise route tracking and supports offline maps for navigation. The device features Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi, with optional eSIM support. It is equipped with a microphone and speaker, allowing for phone calls. It runs on HyperOS 4. The standard versions are priced at 1,199 yuan, or 1,399 yuan for the eSIM model—approximately 175–205 USD.
