Xiaomi 12 debuts with MIUI 13!

Today, the new smartphones from the Xiaomi 12 series were officially presented in China. Along with them, a new version of the corporate MIUI interface also debuted.

Xiaomi 12

The new flagship smartphone Xiaomi 12 is of course based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. This system has been accompanied by LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, as well as Cooling with a heat dissipation surface of 2600 sq. mm. Based on Android 12, the MIUI 13 interface will appear on a 6.28-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The screen reaches a brightness of 1100 nits and it is adjustable in 16 thousand. levels after the dictation of two ambient brightness sensors, located on both sides of the housing. The display has a 12-bit color palette and Corning Gorilla Victus glass protection. There is a hole in the screen for a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

On the back of the phone we find a triple camera. The main matrix (Sony IMX766 1/1.56 ") has 50 megapixels and f/1.88 lens with OIS Optical Image Stabilization, while in the wide-angle module we have a 13 Mpx camera with a field of view of 123 degrees and f/2.4 aperture. The set is completed by a 5-megapixel camera for macro, and night photos will be taken care of by Owl 2.0. The equipment of the smartphone is complemented by, among others NFC, an infrared transmitter, stereo, symmetrical Harman Kardon speakers or an X-axis vibration motor. All this is powered by a 4500 mAh battery with a 67-watt wired charging system that fills the battery in 39 minutes. You can also use 50W inductive charging (53m filling) and 10W reverse charging. There are four colour versions to choose from, and the prices and memory versions are as follows:

Xiaomi 12 Pro

In the more powerful Xiaomi 12 Pro we will also meet the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor and LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, but the screen is already 6.73-inch, with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels, a peak brightness of 1500 nits and - invariably - a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The battery is only slightly larger (4600 mAh), but it offers super fast wired charging with 100 W power, as well as wireless and maneuverable similar to the basic model. In the Pro model we also find a more powerful photographic set, based on three 50-megapixel matrices. The base is IMX707, 1/1.28 "size, with 2.44 micrometers pixels and f/1.9 aperture. The next module is wide-angle - 115 degrees with f/2.2 aperture, while the third is for portrait shots with 48 mm, f/1.9 lens. The selfie camera is as in the base model, 32MP. Prices and memory versions are as follows:

  • 12 + 256 GB - 5399 yuan, $ 848

Xiaomi 12X

The last of the new products is Xiaomi 12X, equipped with a Snapdragon 870 processor and LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory. The screen of this model, as in the case of the other two, is OLED, with a diagonal of 6.28 inches, Full HD+ resolution, brightness of 1100 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The camera set is as in the basic model: 32 Mpx in the front, 50+13+5 Mpx in the back. The 4500 mAh battery with 67-watt charging is responsible for the power supply. Unfortunately, wireless charging has already run out. The pricing is as follows:

  • 8 + 128 GB - 3199 yuan, $ 503
  • 8 + 256 GB - 3499 yuan, $ 549
  • 12 + 256 GB - 3799 yuan, $ 597

EMUI 13 and new accessories

New smartphones debuted with the MIUI 13 interface. This is another evolution of the Xiaomi system overlay, focused on stability and security. Introduced, among others additional protection of information collected and sent by applications, as well as a new verification system using facial recognition. The system also uses refreshed graphics and new widgets. MIUI 13 also focuses on the integration of the phone with the ecosystem - it should be much easier.

Xiaomi also unveiled the Xiaomi Watch S1 smart watch. The device has a steel case, a sapphire crystal and a leather or silicone strap - there are several variants to choose from. The watch face is a round, 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466×466 pixels, and it is powered by a 470 mAh battery. It is inductively charged and is supposed to last up to 12 days of the watch's operation. Xiaomi Watch S1 offers all the functions of a typical smartwatch, and also allows you to run conversations has a built-in speaker and microphone. We find over 110 sport modes, as well as GPS and NFC. A watch with a silicone strap costs 1049, and a leather one - 1099 yuan. Converting it is $ 165-173.

The set of novelties is completed by Xiaomi Buds 3 headphones. These are TWS fleas, with waterproof IP55 housings, three microphones and an active noise reduction ANC system. they have batteries that allow for 7 hours of listening, and the battery added in the case extends their working time up to 32 hours.
